Commonly Asked Questions

Should you have further questions not answered here, don't hesitate to contact the college.

Q:   If I do a Professional Development Course first, can I get credits towards an accredited course later?

A:   Yes. Within the College you will receive automatic recognised prior learning for any material you study with us. If coming from another College, we will assess previous studies so that you need only study competencies already achieved. Doing it this way will possibly take a little longer and may cost more in fees, but can help you to reduce study time.

Q:   When can I start my course?
A:   Any time of the year.

Q:   Can I pay in instalments?
A:   Yes, however, full payment up front is the cheapest option. Please refer to relevant course for payment options.

Q:   Do we get a discount if two of us enrol together?
A:   You may claim a 5% discount on fees if you both enrol in courses at the same time.

Q:   What happens if I have to stop studying for a while? (I.e., get sick, go on holidays, have a baby, etc.)
A:   Apply for an extension. It’s OK to take a break, but you will need to  contact the College.

Q:   Do I need any extra books/resources?
A:   You receive all essential reference material. However, we always recommend extra reading; your tutor can advise you accordingly. You will need to purchase some essential oils.

Q:   How do I contact my tutor?
A:   Write, fax, phone, or email the College. Leave a message if your tutor isn’t available and they will phone, write, fax, or email you back.

Q:   How long does a Professional Development Course (i.e., 20-120 hours) take to complete?
A:   Commonly around 2-6 months, depending on the course and on the student’s schedule.

Q:   How long does a certificate take to complete?
A:   Commonly around 12 months, if studying full-time.
